‘Grad X’ is an annual exhibition for Swinburne’s design and architecture graduates. The theme for the 2021 exhibition was ‘Resilience’ to reflect on the times of adversity presented by the COVID 19 pandemic. I was selected alongside one other student from the Communication Design cohort to design the year’s brand mark and work alongside the Grad X team.
The final logo aims to represent the theme of resilience through its adapting and transforming shapes to symbolise bouncing back in times of adversity. Furthermore, its geometric style aims to resemble a QR code, a symbol that has become part of our daily lives due to the COVID-19 pandemic, symbolising our resilience as a community.
